Imageboards vs. Textboards

I'm going to go with textboards, even though there isn't a single good english one.

This place isn't all that different from SA. Sure, they may use bigger words and all that shit, but generally they tend to be somewhat stuck up and dicks. I've seen great threads on 4chan and other imageboards that were better or more interesting than half of the shit I've found on SA. And without the need for "omg i may get banne, let me make sure i suck cock or pander to their opinions in my post!"

And, to be honest, I've still found some smart and cool motherfuckers on 4chan and had great threads discussing pretty much everything. You get a few "hurr durr desu desu" faggots, but you just ignore them and eventually they really do go away. It's the retards who go "troll!" or respond to them AT ALL that fuck shit up.
