This has most likely been discussed long before but anyways:
As per a thread in /w/ and also a comment I saw here, /r/ would need a worksafe version to make it more usable. As it is now many normal requests are ignored on /r/ since:
a) Many people never go there as it's more or less a copy of /b/
b) A thread on /r/ is usually not long-lived enough to get any attention.
Why isn't there a worksafe version of /r/?
