issues on /w/

It has become apparent that many wallpaper threads that do not classify themselves as NSFW have disappeared. This is either because of a board glitch or they are being deleted. I am not convinced that it is more one than the other, but there are plenty who believe that it is a Janitor/Mod that is purposefully deleting them.
I am under the impression that Janitors cannot delete threads but can only bring them to the mods attention.
If the mods aren't deleting the threads, then we have a technical issue that needs to be brought up.
If there is a mod deleting the posts there is another issue that must be brought to light. Such as the thought that if such racy images are being deleted then the introduction of a wallpaper ecchi and SFW /wg/ board should be created. However, the deleted threads didn't consist of NSFW material, according to the posters of said images.

This is an issue, and it needs to be addressed.

the problem can be solved easlly by just getting rid of the /w/ and /wg/ boards. then the wallpapers should be posted in the existing relevant boards like /a/, /c/, /e/, or /h/.

I want to also blame the Spam links not being deleted or anything.  Hey checkout some wallpapers http://google.com

=_=

Looks like they have better things to do (delete wallpapers) than fighting spam. Oh well. Good for the new janitor(s)

I'm thinking it's probably more of a tech glitch. Wallpapersare huge and get a lot of traffic, its almost natural that they bring down servers, so in order to prevent further damage, they close down some threads...

This deserves an official explanation at least...

That's totally lame for people only looking for walls.
Also barrier between /a/ and /c/ is obscure sometimes

/w/ is one of the few good boards in 4chan, where you can get guaranteed quality and a good /r/ rate. Few of the other boards are as friendly as this one, and I would hate to see it go down in flames like that

Wallpaper threads on other boards fill up too quickly and dissapear. this is an invalid solution.

simple, just repost.

people already seem to be able to make that distinction.

This is the same conclusion that I have arrived at.
The servers have time to only read the threads code and it gets deleted even though it is being posted to.
There is a lot of activity on /w/ and it is entirely possible.

>>5
The blurred barrier between /a/ and /c/ is technical, not actual. /a/ is general anime, /c/ is more or less moe, cute not pedo, et cetera.
/w/ is general anime, but there is plenty of NSFW anime.
Same reason there is an /e/ & /h/ boards. However, the volume of traffic I think that a general NSFW wallpaper board would at least alleviate traffic on /w/ and allow more racy images to be posted.
As the division between /a/ & /e/ have been blurred, so has the concept between /w/ & /e/. Perhaps a /we/ board is more practical than not. It lightens the load and allows the racy images to be posted.
Again, if it is a mod, then an explanation is still due.

Reposting simply contributes to the growing problem

I agree.

There are also many wallpapers that just don't fit in other boards than /wg/.

I never applied to be a Janitor.
But I didn`t pick them either. They don`t represent us.
So guess what? You`re wrong!

anyways... I hope moot responds to my e-mail, /w/ is quickly turning into Minitokyo, which apparently some idiots like, but this is 4chan, some people are forgetting that

I understand that you base your anger and opinions on being anonymos and nothing more.

BTW, I'm >>13

So yeah, back to things that matter.

I think a good compromise would be a NSFW wallpaper board.

Are we going anywhere? we are just calling each other names and arguing with no point. What we must do is call into attention this phenomena and demand answers.

If there are certain, pin-pointed problems, we can then work towards a solution.
I might be a namefag, but I'm mostly anon. This is not a revenge towards a janitor/mod, just a search for answers

A janitor was assigned to a second board yesterday and went a bit nuts with overdeletion. He's been removed. Thanks to whoever emailed me about this.

As I always say, emailing me is the best way to bring my attention to something. Complaining on the imageboards will sooner get you banned than help anything. I check this board pretty regularly but still, email is the absolute best and preferred way to contact me.

This is awesome. Thank you moot!

But while you're here, is there a possibility of an ecchi wallpaper board?
