How to post on image boards?

How do you start a new thread on the 4chan yaoi board? Whenever I try to post there it keeps saying "Error: No file selected."

There should be a way to ask for an image that goes on that board without having to post one yourself.

Why?

Poster # 2, you're not helping any.

There should be a help file on the front page that explains these things.

I'm looking for a picture that would belong on that board. I might also want to post on other image boards.

It's an image board. The focus is on images. Most boards of this type will require an image to be uploaded with the starting post in a thread. What are you looking for? A bunch of images sitting on the server that you can choose from? That is fucking lazy and places undue storage requirements on an already stressed server. If you want relevant source images to upload with your posts use google or danbooru.

No one said anything about wanting images sitting on the server. If someone wants to ask a person to make an image, why should they upload one themselves? It's not lazy to ask for an image to be made by someone who is a lot more skilled at that than the person asking for the image.

Do you want a bunch of threads started by people who have no talent in image making? What do you expect them to do if there are no images they want that they can choose from?

Every thread starter uploading an image just to  ask for something would be putting the strain on the server. This makes even more since for the request board.

It makes more since for someone to start a thread with something like "I'd like to see (description of wanted image). Do any of you feel like making this?" Don't you think that's better than uploading some random image that has nothing to do with the request?

What is lazy about making a challenge for the people who are skilled at image making?

And just post a fucking image to start a thread. It's not that fucking hard. You don't need to bitch and moan so much. I'm betting moot and everyone else who supports 4chan hates people who bitch and moan about 4chan more than they hate the fact that every month the bandwidth bill comes in higher and higher because of everyone uploading images for the first post in the thread.

TC. Maybe you could try starting a topic on that board with pics of the people you want to see. Any pic should be OK. Then you can describe to the people over there what situation you what those characters to be in. I'm sure some of them may be willing to help.

I agree with # 6.  4chan is an image board which means you are suposed to post images when starting a thread. if u didnt have to post images the site would be boaring and it would be filled with idiots writing bullshit, people like number 5 who cant even speak english right.
