txt board about life, personal issues, etc

I know there will be a lot of made up shit and "cheer up, emo kid" kind of posts, but I think we'd see interesting discussions and real help for real people with trouble, too.

What do you think about it? What does moot think about it? If you're a mod, could you ask what moot thinks about this idea?

Do you honestly think the people who post on 4chan can be trusted to give sound psychology-related advice? If not, then it's just a troll board. If yes, then it'll still be 99% trolling and the occasional poor wapanese guy asking "animu makes me cry, am I gay?".

Check /b/ on any normal day, and you'll find threads and polls about life, behavior & habbits, personal issues, psychological issues, love, sex, addiction, life stories & anecdotes. Replies range from useful, hostile, friendly to (made-up) bullshit, trolling spam, etc. Usually the thread remains somewhat ontopic.

99% ? No, I think the nature of a text board would filter out a lot of the trolling and spam. You'd still see hostility, trolling and spam, but less than on /b/ (though admittedly more than on any other text board because discussions about life tend to be more heated).

Just call it /life/ or something, and give it a trial phase of 3 months. I don't see the harm in trying..and it could become a decent text board.
