What happened to the Facebook thing?

I went to sleep last nite and woke up and the thing for facebook, up at the top area of the page is gone  :(  I was going to try to be a member of facebook, but it didn't have my college or workplace and wouldn' let me start a new region / zone/ whatever...
that sucked, and now it's gone, and im sad or confused, don't know which, and if there's data on this and i should be reading, please let me know.  Thank you.  It might have been cool to have a 4chan party/ gathering.

The last thing in the world I'm gonna do it attend to a 4chan "party/gathering". It might be the last thing you'd do too. XD
