Something needs to be done about /gif/

In my time browsing 4chan, I've found many great gifs from /gif/ boards.  While venturing in there is never safe, there's usually always a piece of gold in the pile of poo there.  (the star wars force shops make me lol)

But now, the stuff in there has reach a new level of f%#kin disgusting.  Close ups of gay sex with hairy balls, traps with old women, weird redneck guys with some sorta testicle enlargement devices?

Not to mention the recent flood of gay porn, while I'm fine with people being gay, I don't wanna see them stick it in eachothers poopers (or having sex with watermelons).

You can say "just don't click on the ones that you don't wanna see" but it's filled with so many damn traps that I'm not sure what it is I wanna see anymore.

There should be a place where people can post porn gifs, and another place for anime/funny/clean gifs, which would be moderated.

you can xerox another country's e-culture till the cows come home; you can force your jap memes via irc-coordinated floodfaggotry;  you can institute all manner of shitty 2ch wordfilters until 4chan's userbase takes them into the board's mythography; the american contingent, especially, can keep lounging its own lack of cultural self-esteem, blissfully ignorant of the fact that japanese mass-media is just as fuckgay.

4chan needs major reform, both structurally and ideologically. i don't even think that's debatable.  4chan has to stop thinking of itself as The Place Where You Can Play 2ch But In English, but instead The Place Where You Can Come For a Laugh, A Fap, An Argument and a Spam. 

there needs to be MORE moderation.  there needs to be a motherfucking PHOTOSHOP BOARD.  and i never, ever, EVER thought i'd find myself saying this, but 4chan has to develop a degree of genuine internationality.  because since its inception, essentially all this futaba (whatever-it's-called) forum phenomenon has been is: japan and the us, --balls perennially touching--.
