SAGE (pronounced SAW-GEH) is meant to show respect to other board members by not bumping a thread even when a reply is being posted, so that those viewing the first page do not have to view your comment, especially if the post is very old. SAGE is merely an anti-bump. It does not mean "kill this thread."
Especially on world4ch, SAGE merely does not bump the thread to the top. It has no effect on the thread existing, unless you count the 1000 post limit. SAGE as a means to say "I do not approve of this thread" is like saying "I am not going to bump this thread" in a single reply, with nothing else to contribute to the thread.
Please, stop the misinterpretation of SAGE. And do not pronounce it like how it is spelled in English.
