4chan's imgboard code.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I'm new to world4ch. Has the custom Futallaby imgboard.php used by 4chan ever been made public? It's obviously far superior to the standard code and I'd love to see it.

Oh, and the FutabaLight mod tool. That would also be very cool.

It's nowhere near organized enough to be used in a situation any different from how it's used at the moment. It might be at some time way off in the future, but except for admin tools Wakaba is at least as good.

Closest you'll get to 4chan's current imageboard software (code wise) is this http://www.1chan.net/futallaby/

Also to note, that 4chan's imageboard software is currently being rewritten (see http://boards.4chan.org/adv/res/20566.html , http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/904/advnewboardsw.png). I'm not sure, but most likely it is going to be completely new imageboard software written from scratch and probably completely divorced from futallaby and futaba code altogether.

Some of the code was leaked a while back! It was posted on /prog/!

The pastebin link seems to be dead though!

Oh yes. This is true I had forgotten about the leaked code on /prog/. I think there was another pastebin link that was posted in a separate thread about a month or two later that linked to the source code.

Unfortunately, it's incomplete. You're still missing broomcloset.php (janitor system code), admin.php, ect.

I have read the docs and tried about five times to get wakaba working on my webserver but it just won't work. Its clearly user error, i know perl is working, the config.pl and wakaba.pl files have permission to run. The problem is the when i got to the wakaba.pl file in my browser it doesn't run, it just downloads. I have a feeling i did the config wrong. All i did was replace the "changme" stuff to the appropriate settings and that is IT. Should i have deleted the instructions next to the lines? Any help is appreciated

I haven't used Wakaba in quite a while, so I couldn't really help you myself, but did you try asking your question at http://wakaba.c3.cx/sup/ ? It is the support board after all.

Wakaba is far more stable, smaller, efficient than its PHP counterparts.

If You do manage to get it working, it'll definitely be worth your effort.
