4chan.org Unofficial Portal

I know some of you might miss the old 4chan portal, which is now kind of built into the site but obscured by disclaimers and index pages. Thus I developed the 4chan.org Unofficial Portal which combines all of 4chan and world4ch's boards into one sidebar.

Features include:
 - categorised 4chan boards (files, requests, bbs, drawing, gay, straight and non-porn)
 - world4ch boards available with one click
 - combined news viewer (shown by default, pretty basic)
 - no not4chan warning pages or disclaimer pages

A lot of liberties have been taken, but this is not for first-time users. Anyone using this should already know not4chan is a seperate entity and is only linked for convenience. Also, they should have agreed to the disclaimer.

I didn't know about the overchan sidebar. It's neat, but I only use 4chan anyways.

Also, /3/ isn't supposed to be worksafe, though it isn't strictly pornographic either. Same with /b/.

It isn't really necessary to include the 4channel frontpage, since the updates are just a subset of 4chan's news page.

I think the world4ch pages should be in their native red theme. Also, where the hell are the world4ch BBS's?

Finally, the frames shouldn't be resizable.

4. I forget there was even a red theme, I had the 4chan style selected. Due to this style switcher, there's no real reason to colour the sidebar.

But a patchwork of green/red/blue/white backgrounds would look horrible. How about colouring them on mouseover?

This is funny because this thread was made days after moot told me to make the html for a new portal thing (that I still haven't gotten around to!).

Oh yeah, I stole the idea of onhover bgcolor highlighting for the new 4chan navbar, it was a good idea.

On the topic of navigation, 4chan.org's navbar now includes world4ch board links (show/hide [+]) since a couple people suggested it.
If anyone has any trouble with that Javascript or the display of that stuff, let me know. I don't have anything other than Firefox and IE to test in.

Yeah, I loathe dealing with CSS layouts. With years of doing table layouts it's hard to change your ways. The only way I'll ever do it is if I'm REALLY bored, but for the meantime, I have better things to work on.
