- In the 13 months since the project was funded she has managed to put together two videos which didn't seem to have any additional production value to her previous ones she did for free (or only funded by page and YouTube hits)
In these videos she:
- Cites TVTropes a lot and uses arguments based on superficial things from said website
- Makes a lot of obvious mistakes and ignores almost any context within the games she cites, that the people who actually played the games can point out (and did point out, usually just to be ignored)
- Now we find out she didn't even bother to play and record any footage from the games that she has actually shown off, instead copying the only content that might actually warrant small parts of that money and point to what it has been spent towards from other YouTubers.
But of course she's "fighting for the rights of female video game characters" or something, so she should be entirely exempt from any criticism whatsoever and the $160k she got can all go to personal expenditures instead of at least being put towards what she actually promised to begin with.
For about the same amount of money there have been developers hard at work that actually made entire games and some have even already released playable versions like FTL or Akaneiro: Demon Hunters:
