Kotaku: If I’m playing a single player game, do I have to be online at least once per hour or something like that? Or can I go weeks and weeks?
Harrison: I believe it’s 24 hours.
Kotaku: I’d have to connect online once every day.
Harrison: Correct.

Wii U Problems:
• No Games!
(• Graphics if it's not pretty enough for you)
Xbox One Problems:
• You need to install every game and register it online
• You have to pay a fee to play used games
• If the developer wants so, you need an constant online connection to play the particular game
• No backwards compatibility (360 & Arcade)
• Xbox Live TV needs an additional device (launches in USA only)
• Doesn't work without Kinect pluged in
(• Online fees)
(• The system always listens)
(• Kinect always watches)

None of these "issues" actually bother me. I just don't feel like they're a very big thing. I'm sure Kinect doesn't have to be used all the time, and that I could tuck it away and disable voice recognition. That's the only problem I would have. Used games only becomes an issue in 10 years time, but I only intend to buy one console next gen, so I'll no doubt buy a few more games on release.

What about the PS Quad?
That looks like it's gonna be the winner for me.

Frankly I refuse to believe I cannot turn off voice commands. I will never accept this or touch an legitimate control devices, so we'll see how it goes.

>game console whose main function is watching TV while games are an afterthought and all the negative rumors turned out to be true
Next thing you know Microsoft will be trying to force a shitty tablet OS onto desktop users.

now all that Nintendo has to do is unleash an onslaught of good games and they will have them right in their Jap-Jew trap.

Its how hard drive disk capacity is measured.
There's 1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, etc. But hard drive manufacturers know the average person doesn't know shit about that. So they just drop the 24 and go 1000 bytes per kilobyte, etc.
So to get the actual capacity, you take the "500GB" expand it out to bytes by adding nine zeros and the divide by 1024 three times. 12 zeros and 4 divisions for terabytes.
Yes, I am a wizard.

I don't know, the Xbox One just seems so pointless.
I can't buy a piece of tech that doesn't do everything they were pushing at this conference. Hell my TV by itself handles streaming shit.
Microsoft lost two generations in a row and this time they don't have a head start. Sure shit like Apple TV, OUYA, mobiles, tablets and Steambox aren't going to beat any of the big 3, but they are going to be sucking up a ton of the market as a whole.
Microsoft flexed their muscle into the phone market too, look where that got them.
>Actually no, there were video game journalists there. They didn't like it.
gee i wonder why
