GTA V

I retired my xbox some years ago. Rockstar Games could only expect someone to play GTA IV for so many years.

Just over a year ago Rockstar Games announced GTA V and the release of its trailer. To my excitement I began examining the hints and clues hid away in the trailer. Someone can only watch a game trailer over and over for so many months. Growing tired of the limited information, I gave in.

Just this evening procrastination perturbed me from starting a report I have to do. I come across GTA V and this beautiful inspirational article. For anyone who is absolutely affectionate for GTA will savor this new article as nectar from the Gods.

The link will bring you to a brighter light.
Within the article hold: Ctrl, or Command (if your gay) and Left click on the blue Links within the article. There is a good amount of information tied to this article. Given the light of all this new information I soon plan to get a new xbox.

If you don't care for GTA I can only ask you not to leave faggy comments however there's no fun unless we make fun.

If you do become lascivious at the thought of GTA V. Lets bask in the glory of better days at GTA's previous releases over time in anticipation of GTA V.

I prefer having no info on the next GTA, that way I will base my opinions purely from actually playing the game and not from hype or expectations or what others think of it.

To me GTA4 was a big disappointment, a huge step down content-wise from GTA San Andreas and the game play wasn't as fun. GTA4 was prettier, I can give it that. But unfortunately it aimed too much to be realistic and the design of the world was no where near the quality of San Andreas.

I can only hope that GTA5 will be at least near as good as San Andreas. Rockstar has after all the engine already made this time and should therefore be able to focus more on actually making the game fun and packed with content.

I could excuse GTA4 for being so poor compared to GTASA since the developers had to make a whole new engine, which actually is of high quality. But if they disappoint me again there can be no excuses, the engine is already made so they should have been able to deliver something superb like GTASA.

Well said, I can surely agree with that. I am holding high hopes for GTA V. Hope not to be disappointed. I guess the graphics engine in my eyes was enough to boggle my mind. The physics alone was good enough for me. I would rather play GTA IV any day of the week than San Andreas. A close friend of mine still plays San Andreas and treasures it the greatest game ever created. It is something I will never understand..

Graphics and physics isn't that important to me. In a game those two things are really extra next to the actual game. If GTA SA was released on the same day as GTA 4 with the same engine (graphics and physics) I don't think anybody would claim GTA4 had more content.

GTA 4 looked pretty and you could knock people over all right, but SA had so many many more cars and you could do so much more in a world that was a lot bigger and a lot more varied (there was a ghetto, san francisco, countryside, desert, secret area 51, huge mountain, small village community, las vegas, hangar ship, and everything between those things). Just learning to fly was epic. You could use a jetpack or steal a jet and be chased by other jets, dodge missiles and then parachute out. Get a monster truck and run over stuff or go to the track and compete in organized car racing games (if the street tracing games had tired you out).

I think the characters were a lot more interesting and the story a lot better. You had a real feeling of progression and moving up in the world. When you open up a garage in the second part of the game, it feels like a lot of things has happened. And a lot is left to happen. Buying a casino for example.

I'm leaving out a lot of things that I have forgotten since it was years ago I played it but I think your friend treasures SA because it just was a grand game. It was one of the few games that had too much content so they actually removed some upon release, I mean how many develops a full-fledged sex system in their game only to lock it out upon release? "Aw man it's awesome but maybe it will make it too hard to sell the game in stores, guess we have to remove it..."

I agree with you, but San Andreas was kind of an empty game. I only mean that even with that huge world, there wasn't much to do in 50% of it.

Being there is enough, it's something to look at while travelling from point A to B. I remember enjoying getting on a motor bike and just going to another city, looking at whatever I went by. I didn't need an amusement park ride in every corner.

It's not like there was much to do when you got to point B anyway, what you could do there was usually what you could do inbetween A and B. Unless there's a story mission at point B.

I really really hope they bring back kill frenzy in GTA5. They probably won't since it makes the game too much similar to a game.

One thing that was kind of cool in GTA:SA was also how many hidden packages there were. And different types of them. Tags, those under water things, and hidden photo packages that you could only capture with a camera... Things like that are nice, more of that. It's the smaller things that pushes something to perfection. Especially in these sand box games.

Btw I looked at the second trailer... Couldn't keep myself from doing it. The game looks amazing I must say. It actually looks like this may be able to top GTA:SA. I'm excited to play it.
