I just got my computer upgraded and I can finally play good games. I plugged my monitor in and nothing. The power led Is on as an Orange light but the scrern is blank. I've had the monitor since 2005. Is it possible that its too old to be compatible with my now high end pc? Or what should I do to fix my problem and start testing out my pc?

your current pc resolution might not be supported by your new computer (ex. 1280X1024 which is 4:3 on a 16:9 widescreen monitor)

try changing your resolution and see if that helps

I meant to say screen, not computer

your current pc resolution might not be supported by your new screen*

The problem is with my monitor. I plugged it in to my laptop the LEd lights up green and it works. Even when I unplugged it, The light was green. As soon as I stuck it into my PC, I get nothing on the screen and the LED turns orange.
The monitor uses the blue plug in that has 2 screws. I don't think that my new video card handles a monitor as old as mine, but if theres a spot to plug my monitor in and it fits, I dont see why not. My friend put it together and everything was working on a monitor that is brand new though. So Im thinking that is the problem. Hes going to take a look at it today. I was hoping I could solve the problem here first. Thanks for the help though.

Don't change these.
