The off-season is just beginning and contracts are beginning to be signed for the new season tomorrow!
It's hard to find anything like it, and it has a thriving small community of smart baseball people and baseball officianado's with avatar's of black and white images, of player's with long curly mustache's. Just as any good Baseball MMORPG should I reckon.
It's a browser based baseball MMO that is a lot of fun, has a lot of strategy involved, and doesn't require a lot of time invested to enjoy it. They are also rolling out some nice new upgrades like a "Gamecast" like replay feature for your games.

You get a free player and enough influence (the In-Game currency) to make 2 more just for registering, and that is plenty enough to get the full experience of the game if you wish. At the end of your player's careers you can retire them for a half refund of all influence spent on them, or if they made it to the Hall of Legends, a Full refund of all influence spent on the player during they're career in honor of his/her importance to the World baseball League.
We have many strategy settings to choose from as a manager and it is mostly based on the general rock-paper-scissor concept so that balance is dynamic and based on your opponents. As a player it's all about building the perfect prototype for that position, or you can step out of the box with an unconventional build and still reach success. You can own teams and upgrade facilities and training in up to 4 leagues.
No Cookie cutter builds here, in fact, the more similar your builds are to others, the worse you are likely to perform in most aspects of the game! Your player ages, and levels up through skill points earned for leveling up via XP (accumulated by winning and reaching other milestones) or though training through the training program.
You can use these Skill points to specialize your player in many ways or to make them a jack of many trades and a master of none.

There is also a built in chemistry system, moxie system (slumps reduce morale, winning increases and morale can affect some game play).
There is a built in Achievement system that rewards you with GameChanger cards (cards you can add to a player for a season to, for instance make them a switch hitter, or play out of position with limited penalty on defense) and it is completely Free to play. There are micro transaction but this is a game that truly does take it seriously when we say the free user can get everything and have access to everything people who choose to pay do.
