Currently have a tsundere loli, onii chan~ kawaii uguu, and a shota snatcher

>doing the murder mystery in Windhelm
>follow the blood trail, find the journals and amulet
>take it to the appraiser
>he seems awful eager to take it off my hands
>decide to break into his house to see if there's any evidence
>find a journal that explicitly proves that he is the killer
>go back to the steward, only option is to turn in an innocent man
>can't confront said innocent man with the amulet that's supposedly his but isn't
>can't confront the killer, only option is to sell him the amulet
>can't kill him because he's essential
>can't figure out how I'm "supposed" to solve this

Well fuck.  How do you do this quest then?  Are you required to lock up an innocent man and realize your mistake later or something?
