For a company to advertize a product on /b/ they would need to know what kind of demographic frequents the site.
The most I could see happen would be like ATI/NVIDIA ads on /g/ or Razer ads on /v/ maybe.
Even then, I doubt those companies would want to associate themselves with the kind of content sometimes posted on those boards.
