/b/ is /b/, they are a community of thousands of completely different people. There is no target demographic there because they fill so many different demographics in one go. From 12 year old kids to the average fratboy. They are "random", they're not all focused on (seemingly) one topic like /v/.
The way you say it you make it sound like a whole board is one person.
