Only fanboys/kids will buy the PSP2. I used to be one of them, but they have very little 3rd party support and their game library is mostly limited to fps games, racing, sonic...i want mature games that will challenge me not bloody LittleBigTwat xD Sony is the polar opposite of creativity. The PSP2 will sell like hot cakes, I'm not denying that, but as a hardcare gaming device it will be a huge flop. Sony will be too busy counting their money to care though. The 3DS is a much more appetising prospect. The graphical capabilities will be amazing [iphone is more powerful than a PSP2 LMFAO. Pathetic] and there will probably be a wider game library with a variety of up and comers producing games for it. That's what Sony used to be about. Now they just push the same crap because those franchises are profitable and guarantee them money. They have exclusive rights to most of the profit they make. Nintendo is the better company from a true gamer's perspective who appreciates the art. The chip that the PSP2 uses is like 3-4 years old! Dated technology and people are going to be charged £390+ for it? I'm no idiot Sony. While you make millions I get crap that is archaic? The consumer is always right and the consumer wants more. The £DS will eat the PSP2 alive as a gaming console, but Sony fanboys are too busy drooling over 14 year old games that will be SNes ported onto the ugly ass plasticky PSP2 like FFX and GT. I'm sick of Sony. Yes, PSP's target audience are kids [let's face it]. Nintendo caters for both and yet they still lose out on sales. Why? SCREW SONY. Why should I support them while they make crap games that challenge me in no way whatsoever? I'm jumping ship. I'm not talking about realitic visuals, well not solely. I'm talking about complex storylines that friggin mean something. Visual styles that are different and can be realised because of the graphical prowess behinf the console. I agree, OP. I own a PSP and that's all it is- Weeaboo nonsense, racing games and shitty FPS (like PS3). I keep it as an mp3 player, but other than that I don't use it.
PSP was a flop, GO was a flop, PSP2 will be too. It's a shame too, the few games I like PSP handled well, looked good and the wide screen was nice.

Forgot to add that unlike most people I like UMDs because of the plastic casing, if you scratch the UMD all you have to do is replace the case, I always liked that. I wish all discs were like that, it's like the best of cartridges and discs in one. The only problem is that little exposed square.

my PSP sucks because the left and down on the d-pad have the same function as left+down making it impossible to make things go left as it mainly considers it to be down. As far as i can tell i have three things that i could do which is sending it in to get repaired (out of warranty), attempting to fix it myself, and buying another one and attempting to pass it off and exchange it. I would've exchanged it by now as it happened on sunday but i stayed over at my brothers place for a few days and can't find the receipt for it.

People have been ranting about the 3ds and none have been ranting about psp2 anywhere.
It doesn't even need to be shown to know what is coming.
It is suppose to rival the ps3/360 and watching nintendo they might add 3d support and it would be something that makes a sony fan feel good about themselves like ps3 move.
They may work on battery life but something powerful is a heavy drain on battery.(unless they have something in works)
The price of said device will most likely be 400-500 bucks or even more.(600 being max if they going big most likely 500)
It wouldn't be at ps3 price knowing them and the psp was like 250/300 bucks and this machine wouldn't touch that.(for a long while)
Games will more than likely be around 50 bucks.
With said device how do you keep up with both ps3(if u got)(some still going for) and psp2.( both exclusive games and more.)?
This is overwhelming unless your rich or got it like that.
And thats not factoring in a memory card and other stuff they potentially can charge you for.

This is why I don't bother with video games anymore. Overpriced consoles with barely a good title or two these days. I'm speaking about all three consoles of course.
