I got Minecraft (Alpha) yesterday. I played for a few hours. I made a castle, a dungeon, and a house. I realized that's pretty much what the entire game was. It's like Legos, but slower and you can kill stuff. If you're thinking about getting it, the free version is almost exactly the same. The weapons/enemies don't really add anything to the game. Don't waste 9.95 Euros on it.

What would your definition be of an "actual GAME". If by "GAME" you mean the "sheer manliness" of the Call of Duty franchise or the Halo series, then Minecraft utterly collapsed it self since redstone and cakes. On the other hand I understand where you're all coming from. But think about this: If you made a game with no aimed demographic than 20 year old's start buying it and it becomes a hit you want to appeal to that demographic, i'm sure most of you will say you would never sell out, but lets face it greed is a very powerful thing
