I got Minecraft (Alpha) yesterday. I played for a few hours. I made a castle, a dungeon, and a house. I realized that's pretty much what the entire game was. It's like Legos, but slower and you can kill stuff. If you're thinking about getting it, the free version is almost exactly the same. The weapons/enemies don't really add anything to the game. Don't waste 9.95 Euros on it.
I think the age of the average Minecraft player is still dropping. The following is the newest entry on Curse's Minecraft wiki (which has been reworked several times over) called "Bat":

Minecraft sucking isn't a matter of opinion. Notch let a serious game with serious players, deteriorate into something for children that can barely be called a game anymore. He sold out to summerfags and furries, and the game hasn't even been released yet.
While companies sell out and have horrible development ideas all the time, Notch also sold out the community to Curse, and their furry mods then proceeded to HUNT DOWN and PERMABAN any players who weren't either children or furries, while at the same time completely denying this. Currently the Minecraft community that Notch is selling out to, is (thanks to Curse) under children and furry fascist rule. Minecraft is probably the only game in gaming history, where cheating counts as an ACHIEVEMENT.
It's easy to see how the "On A Rail" achievement came to be:
Retarded community writes a thread about achievements, one of these is to ride a cart 1 000 blocks. Notch thinks this is awesome. He doesn't think - he just obeys the retards.
Would Notch have thought about this for even a second, he would have realized that this would either require finding, mining and smelting 6 005 iron ingots to make the tracks and cart (which would require a kid with aspergers syndrome mining around the clock for a full year), or using the cheat hack TooManyItems (and just be a kid with aspergers syndrome laying tracks for 4 hours straight).
Imagine an FPS where not picking up any ammo would be an achievement. It's the ultimate sign that the game developers have sold out to people who do nothing but shit on the game.

You don't HAVE to do the achievements in one sitting, also you can go over a rail more than once, its not like hey, you went over that rail twice, so it only counts as going one block, you need to place another one and go over it or that achievement wont count! ...dumbasses taking control of our forums...

Yes, you have to ride the cart in one sitting, so that you end up 1 000 blocks AWAY from where you started, meaning you will at LEAST need 1 000 rails. If you aim on going over the same railway piece twice for some odd reason, you'll need even more.

You're basing this on every six ingots crafting just one rail, but it actually crafts 16 of them, so the achievement only requires 380 ingots to complete, which is almost 6 stacks of ingots. While this amount is more reasonable, if you've set up two bases 1000 blocks from eachother, you're doing it fucking wrong.

In other news, Notch attempts to BACK OUT of the Bethesda lawsuit, by challenging the game company to a Quake 3 match over the rights to "Scrolls".
With this Notch changed a definite win to a definite loss, because there's nothing stopping Bethesda from hiring world champion Quake "temps", and then using the win from this to further leverage their claim on "scrolls".
