Gaming PC

I really need to get into PC gaming, I was thinking about buying all the parts myself for a gaming rig and pulling a favor from my computer friend to assemble it all.
I need something to run the most modern games, on high detail at 60 fps. And hopefully around 1500-2000$.
I've never built a computer before so I'm kind of clueless on what to get. any advice will be appreciated.

Also use a 64-bit OS for your PC

I noticed you didn't put in a hard drive... at least i am pretty sure (again i'm clueless)
how much memory do you think i would need, 1000GB sounds a bit excessive

1TB (1000gb) is not really excessive these days. Also, its not memory, its disk space, memory is RAM, get 4gb.

note: I meant to put that you are going to buy two of the video cards listed. You're going to need an SLI bridge, grab one.
