I've got a PS2 emulator, but it's running INCREDIBLY slowly, and the sound's rather messed up. (Game I've been trying to run is FF10, BTW, which would be the 9th I've played at least part of (after 5,6,8,I think 9 came next, then 4, then 1 and 2 together, then 7.) Any way to fix the sluggishness?
and please do NOT talk about me not playing FF7 as one of the first few. I dun like that game.

pcsx2 right? which graphics plugin are you using? switch to the other to see if it helps. or change some settings like frame skipping or anti-aliasing to see if it helps.

yes, it is. it only works with 1 of the graphics plugins.

It could be that your CPU and GPU are not up to par.

ps2 emulator is incredible slow even in a high end gaming pc
you will at least need to invest $1500 in a pc
your best beat is to purchase a used ps2 + ps2loader +external usb
nearly $200 for all but whatever

As it should be. I have a Core 2 Quad and I can't play some games. What else is new.
