I just raised a Mantine up to level 35 before I realized that its horribly horribly flawed. It's Attack levels are insanely low, despite a large amount of EV points and using Pokesav to open up and check its IV level (did not alter, only glanced). All of its good non-water attacking moves are P-Attack only :(
Granted, its SPDef is through the roof, what good is having a pokemon who can only learn P-Attack moves when its P-Attack is LOWEST TIER POSSIBLE IT MAKES NO SENSE D;
I ended up deciding to keep the Mantine. Turns out, we had way much more in common than fighting! Long story short- we dated, moved to Seattle, and are married now. Expecting our first child next month!
I'm really glad I didn't let a silly thing like Special Attack ruin such a beautiful relationship. Any of you have success stories with your pokemon? :D
