what do you think is a better option?
i personally have both, but here is what you get in your choices;

r4'd DS:
DS roms. anything you want.
barley working/compatable NES and SNES emulators.

WiFi Radio (really shitty. but i figured id add it)
Skype Phone services (kinda pointless for PHAT owners)

for me: PSP. i need my music, and the system is perfect for it, compared to the Multimedia players on the DS.

I've had both now... I gave away my third ds and now im on my second psp.  I had the ds homebrewed and I just homebrewed my psp...  I'd have to say, ds wins out when it comes to ease of getting games and the ds controlls are better, some things cant be overcome by shear power.  (ie: pictods and comic book ds... psp might be 3 times as powerfull but you cant pan w/ one screen the way you can w/ two) also since ds is stuck to cartridge based games, they tend to be smaller and you can get more from file sharing sites w/o going over your max d/l limit.

the psp however blows the shit out of the ds in performance but I realy cant compare the homebrew performance past the point of saying that it works easier because I just homebrewed it yesterday.  on the 3.71 psp custom firmware (the one I have) you can just load up isos, no need for a program to convert them.

(I used supercard so everything I said is from a supercard users point of viev, cant speak for m4 or other flashcarts)

psp is so much better
movies, music, internet and with CFW you can add even more with many homebrew apps.

the psp can even emulate the ds, sure it doesn't work as well sinch theres no touch screen, but it just shows what is possible.

PSP battery is terrible. DS wins.

iPhone (music, video, emulators) + DS (Epic DS game library) = Best

PSP + iPhone = Both do the same exact things.
