The console is a runaway success. Yet 3rd party developers in Japan seem to be dragging their feet with Wii support.
Despite RE4 Wii edition sales exceeding that Capcom expected it to sell by a large margin, they refuse to give Wii a version of RE5(doesn't have to be a port, just the same story with different gameplay). Yeah, they're giving us Monster Hunter 3, but you would think they would want to put a proper RE game on the console given the franchise is proven to sell on Wii.
Konami refuses to bring Castlevania to the console and when questioned by one interviewer about the possibility of a Silent Hill Wii title, they replied "There's a lot of potential there, but I don't think it's going to happen.". They put such gems as Dewy's Dewtastic Adventure on Wii.
Squarenix has in the works is Final Fantasy Spinoff #453234 and some other game that will be downloadable via Wii-Ware. IMO, seeing how Wii is now the market leader, the next MAIN title in the FF series and Dragon Quest series should be Wii exclusive.
And NAMCO.... WHERE THE FUCK IS MY RIDGE RACER WII BITCH?!
It's a shame when western 3rd party support of the Wii outclasses that of Japan's. EA, THQ, and UbiSoft have been throwing massive support behind Wii. It's getting a version of Spore for crying out loud.
I have no idea what the Big Four are thinking. It's like they're waiting around for PS3 to be resurrected from the dead, but everyone knows that shits just not gonna happen. It is over for PS3. OVER. FINISHED. DONE. They need to put their Nintendo bias aside and bring their main franchises to Wii, pronto.

Don't worry, Wii is going to get all the support you'd expect. There's lots of money to be made after all.

I'm not sure there, japanese are usually freaky like that, when the little motherfuckers get an idea in their little asian skulls (like : the Wii isn't p0w3rfu11 3n0ugh to play my l33t uber NIHONGASUKIDESU games) it seems impossible to change it. But I do hope you're right.

Right there with you buddy, and also for Wii RE5. Have it all. Dare to dream.

It might have to do with having to program everything to work with the Wiimote, which can't be nearly as easy as programming actions to physical buttons and joysticks.

Nintendo games, not third-party games, sell on Nintendo consoles. That's what publishers think anyway. More room for them on other formats.

they're obviously not programmers if they don't know how to handle something like the wiimote

Where's my MEAMAN 9 Wii title!?
Heh, Capcom could always do a Megaman 'Prime' FPS title.
No, that wouldn't work.
Personally I wouldn't want to see Resi 5 on the Wii, it would only increase the PS3 fanboy's ammunition against the Wii but comparing the GRAPHIX as naturally the Wii version would be stripped down somewhat.
Still, the Wii's getting Umbrella Chronicles, and that seems more awesome than anything right now.

They won't give RE5 a port to Wii because RE5 is a next-gen title.
Wii =/= Next Gen
I wouldn't want anymore 3rd party games. Seeing how the ones that are out suck balls. Which would make the Wii look bad.

Takarajima Z is a great game. NiGHTS and No More Heroes are rumored to be pretty good too.

Japanese Wii third party support its starting to ramp up
Capcom recently anounced Monster Hunter 3 which is huge(and Z&W is great and UC is decent), Square Enix is making that Final Fantasy game which also looks great... its a SP-storyline oriented Action-RPG so its shaping up to be a promising title, Marvelous is working on 3 projects which all look really unique, with Oboro Maturasama Youtuden(sp?) from the makers of Odin Sphere, King Story which has a known staff crew and it also looks pretty good and of course No More Heroes, which im really anticipating
also you have Tecmo making the next Fatal Frame with Goichi Suda, and Sega putting NiGHTS and Samba de Amigo
and of course, the recently unveiled Fragile which is by the makers of Seven/Venus&Brave which is a huge JRPG i hear is definiteily something to keep an eye on
sure, it could be better, most of that stuff is small niche title except for a couple, but its improving
hopefully it will continue to improve, i mean, after all, the ds had almost no support at launch and now its a friggin juggernaut with a huge amount of quality games
The devs need to be more brave about the software... but without consumers it's no deal as always

The wii is played only by furfags, children and middle aged people who decide to jump the game and start listening to instrumental music and wearing beige at the age of 35.

You see, there is no ridge racer wii since ridge racer has always, i repeat, ALWAYS been a playstation exclusive.
I doubt the wii will have more than 3 racing games worthy of playing.

The japanese 3rd party developers is starting to give up on the wii since the technology is starting to get outdated, the wiimote must be used in every game (i mean seriously) and as a matter of fact PS3 and 360 sales are closing in fast. They've started to realize that there is hope for the other consoles.

worldwide 3rd party devs are getting sick of the wii, it doesnt sell software, it sells hardware, sells the system with wii sports, and the crappy add-ons you need for other games, but 3rd party devs are getting left in the dust by not utilizing the wiimote properly, i'm sure it will die out, though would be a shame.

haha oh wow, thanks for the heads up. let's just disregard the fact that the wii is so high in demand that you don't find ydco console on the shelves for longer than 2 weeks.

The Wii is a one trick pony. Wii Sports. Maybe Wii Play.
I got mine right after launch, and now it sits and collects dust. Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime Corruption, Twilight Princess... at most, they garner a "meh."

How does this apply to the Wii? As far as I can tell, the Wii is a complete gaming console.
