I've got Immaterial and Missing Power. I had thought that it would work on an older machine because of the celshading (flat color shading) that was used. Such simple graphics I thought would work on a slower machine. Boy, was I wrong. It requires a very fast computer to work well. Graphics are about like SuperNES graphics, but the game play makes it one of the best fighting games I've played. I really like the heavy emphasis on projectiles.

Not all of the touhou games are translated yet, live with it. They're pretty hard to get into, coding wise, apparently.
However, translated scripts and translation guides exist online if you really MUST know the story/ can't be bothered to learn the menus through trial and error.

As for the games, look around hongfire.com, search forums, no sign up necessary.
Doujin style had to shut down due to server costs but you could sign up at the forum there and find some other shit of interest.

I didn't try to download it but I found the torrent on a site,
I didn't try it is because I'm the only one in the world that always fails to download a touhou game.
The game is just a shooter game and that's it. The anime content/stuff is obviously the marketing front/ploy to attract more markets in the modern_anime/manga industry. The author do not have to care about graphics or storyline in the first place, but since he acknowledges that the modern_anime/manga industry has a strong backing in the market, he is smart to implement the extra anime/manga content. I do not know if the game is worthy enough to be considered as a anime/manga medium (by collective standard), but I recognize that the fans of the game like the gameplay and the aesthetics. The author might as well put H-scenes per character(s) for each pass of difficulty/stage/achievement. I am certain that the fans really estatic to get their hands on these features. I do not know if any addicts would risk their jobs, but whatever floats their boat.
