Odin Sphere

Anyone playing this game now?  I am considering picking it up this weekend.

i bought it for my girlfriend a few months ago when it came out, but we both ended up playing it quite a bit together. definitely the most interesting beatemup i've ever played, though i would have liked for it to be more challenging.

graphics are awesome, and despite what reviews say, slowdown isn't really an issue (for me, anyway, but i kinda looked at it like a cool slowmo effect that came during the really intense moments).

one really cool part of it is that the game involves multiple playable characters, each with its own storyline and section of history, all of which overlap or feed into another and finally come together to make the larger story. hard to explain properly, but they did it really well.

anything else you want to know?

If you could do it again, would you pay the $40 or bargain bin it?

$30 definitely seems more reasonable, but i guess i'm pretty cheap when it comes to games. if you value good art direction that fits the gameplay, i'd say go for it - this is one where you can tell the developers had a lot of fun making it.

knowing atlus, i doubt there will be enough copies of it out there to stay in the bargain bin for long, if at all.
