I've played the shit out of this game, and I doubt I'll ever have these skills no matter how much I play it.

When you get four speed-ups, the R-9 really moves that quickly, but it is extremely difficult to not fuck up. R-Type is known for having a slower pace than other shoot 'em ups but still extremely difficult.

i think this player has used slo-mo, only because he unnesecarily jitters all over the show when theres hardly anything being shot at him. maybe thats just his style of playing but that particular boss isnt as hard as he makes it look.

I don't think he used slo-mo to be honest; there's a lot of crazy good shoot 'em up gamers out there.
Really, I think the guy is just being a show-off, showing that he mastered multiple roots through evading the boss's patterns. =>

I actually found most of the first bosses to be easier then getting through the actual level. They didn't take long to destroy, which was something the team probably looked at when making r-type final.

Yeah, the bosses didn't start getting retardly hard until around stage four. Stage one's boss is probably literally possible to beat with your eyes closed.

Using save states / slowdown. Some people are that good but not that guy.
