Little projects...

Name: Anonymous 2007-09-13 20:13 ID:bjc8uTvL

Okay, I'm doing some little projects with games.  The projects are basically remixes and medleys.  One involves games that have a time traveling theme and the other involves games from SEGA.  The SEGA part is easy for me, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the time traveling themes.  So, along with Chrono Trigger, Ecco the Dolphin, and Legend of Zelda OoT, what other games have a time traveling theme?  Please no suggestions on Back to the Future and Time Lord because I can't fit the music from those games into what I am puting together.

Ummm, no thanks.  I don't need moar herpes.

Another game I probably will add to the list, probably not, is Sonic CD.  But I am still thinking no, because time travel in that game was meh.

Why are you making a music project of old computer games that feature time travel?

Space Quest 4 was all time travel.
Also in space quest you could travel through another dimension to king's quest where you crash and die.
That one old ass konami made rotating shooter featured time travel, I forget what its called.

Oh but the sorry thing about only being able to use sq4 and maybe sq1 is that space quest 3 had the best music.

Well, the first three I knew of had music I loved and I figured that if they were done right it would make some awesome mixes.

Thanks.  I'll be looking into those.  Too bad I don't know of the shooter that >>5 tried to mention.  I only know of Konami doing Awelay and Gradius.

I'm looking at the game as of right now, it's called time pilot and it features simple levels of endless space where you fly around shooting at enemies that are themed for their time period, now, it isn't so much as a free form of time travel, or rather a freer form like every other game mentioned and that probably will be mentioned, but the important part is that I think it might not have any music, but if it does I have for sure never heard it.

Oh yeah, now I remember that game.  No music I recall, so it won't be used in my project.

My project may branch out into multiple sound projects, since I got so many more ideas after listening to some of the music from Space Quest 4.  Say, what system is it on (console, PC, arcade)?  I am finding it hard to find music for it and knowing the system the games were made for will help me refine my searches.

The entirety of space quest, and all the rest of the sierra adventure titles, are PC exclusive, sparing MAYBE SQ6, which might've had a mac version, but I'm not certain about this. You got ideas after only hearing the msuic for 4? You should really download the game somewhere...and dosbox it, running it as is will result in a certain experience, but definitely not the one that was originally intended. But for my money, both versions, normal, and super speedy death mode, are worth trying.

If all else fails, just play SQ3, LL3, and KQ6, and inbetween when you're tired of your sitting you can break it up with some Incredible Machine.

Don't change these.
