Anyone from the UK READ

if you have heard of amazon.co.uk

they advertised 2 games at 14.95 for days and told customers that, that price was correct, now recently they have cancelled thosands of orders for said games

the games are as follows, FOLKLORE, and LAIR.

lots of people are complaining with negative reviews for the games, it would help if you were a PS3 owner, by making your own review, stating how amazon conned you like everyone else

spread the word and get the reviews coming in, so hopefully we can get amazon to drop the price to what they had before

If you ordered the product at that price, that is the price.

Call your consumer watchdog.

It was a pre order

Anyway, like 30 people made negative but readable reviews, explaining what happened.

Amazon had apparently confirmed to people before the price was changed back that £14.95 was the real price

Everyone on the evening of the 29th had their orders cancelled..

Lots of people are pissed, myself included, if you complain they will just copy and paste a generic reply about how they have the right to change the price should it be a mis price

they recently added a policy to their site that supports this too

Lets just say both folklore and lair were the 2 pre order games when it was that price, beating Halo 3, which makes me think they had a few hundred thosand orders from people

i mean just type in amazon uk lair misprice, every site is talking about it

anyways, they deleted the customer reviews, its ridiculus, they are covering up their.. retardedness

the price was on amazon uk for 2 days before being changed, well since i noticed, probably could of been on longer too, they called it human error in regards to the price

human error doesnt mean customer service reps confirming the price, and leaving it on the site for days eh...

Doesnt matter what they say on the site. They operate within UK consumer laws and must adhere to them.

Would be a different story if you'd ordered more than 10 copies as that would be profiteering from an obvious error. If you've ordered 1 or 2, call the consumer affairs dept in the UK.

also.

EG. You walk into a department store and purchase the same game for 14.95. They can't then stop you from leaving the store and take the item from you. Advertised price is advertised price. If you pre-ordered then they have been enjoying the interest from the payments already made from you and others.

Don't change these.
