Starsiege Tribes: Greatest game?

hey everyone, as some of you probably know, sierra/vivndi are stopping their support for most of their legacy games, includng tribes 1.  what does this mean/  well, a slight shift in player cohesiveness, since there are already alternate servers running - (notably Kigen)  kigen.ath.cx:28000

anywayz, since I know tons of you still play, i was wodering what scripts n' huds you guys use?  also, While we're on the subject here, I got TribesFTW the other day, and I've been trying to configure it so it's not as ugly as my grandpa's ass, but i'v run into a few brick walls.  It seems some of the settings you can set seem to do nothing...  anyway, I want to do the following:
1.  when i enter an inventory station, i'd like it to either not buy anything at all, or buy a favourites that's set in-game.
2.  I can't seem to get the rangefinder reticle to come up at all - where do I set the prefs for it?
3.  also, finally, is there any other scripts not included that you would recommend  get?  I already updated the hudbot to the newer non crappy version that's included.

I used to play Tribes. Might get back if I find an Iso. Do people still play Tribes 2?

yeah, people still play both.  Tribes 2 isn't being shut down.  you don't really need an iso for tribes 1, you can download it off of fileplanet, although I recommend TribesFTW for a (relatively) well scripted install.

Fuck yeah, this game was the shit.  Too bad they're shutting down the master servers.  This game is probably the best multiplayer FPS of all time.  I never really got into scripting, I just use TribesFTW.  I haven't played in a while, I'm probably really bad by now.  Used to be able to get at least one or two spinfusor MA's per game or so.
