FFXI or not FFXI

i stopped playing FFXI for 1 year now and i really want to play again. but i don't have time for that anymore... please, help me find a way for not wanting to play anymore, so i can say "no" to the friends that wants me to come back!

Engage in some independent learning
Make a list of films or animu to watch
Make a list of books to read

tell them you have better things to do, considering its a life absorbing mmorpg youd be safe saying that

the thing that made me want to play is mostly that i never get the lvl max [75] and have a feeling of unachievement in my heart... i played for about 2 years and i barely got to lvl 60.

get to 75 is way to easy now with the ToA expansion, i had about 2 jobs Samurai and Redmage 75 but after that i got tired of being asked to help with shit all the time

really ? i stopped playing before i got my copy of ToA.
if it's that easy i should have played a little longer so i should have been lvl 75 and quit without any regret ^^ (or perhaps some... there is always sth to regret)

it's a total joke now, the other day I was the RDM of a merit party (TP burn, ~16k exp/hour) and one in the party didn't know how to use the /equip macros so another had to explain it to him, both level 75s mind you, and a third didn't have an idea what a Ridill is.

you did the right thing by quitting before TOAU, it's total crap and made the game worthless. i wish i quit before i saw it turned into this kind of shit. if i quit now (and i will very soon) i will have no regrets whatsoever, unlike if i did a year ago, when the game was actually good

if you do quit can i get your character? ill switch servers and names been 75 3 times, been banned twice, quit the 3rd because my friend got banned and i had nobody to play with, friggin at 60 RDM now plax LOL

Not exactly, since TOAU didn't touch anything in the game before 60 or AT LEAST 50. Although the TP burn mentality has spread to levels below including the dunes even though it doesn't even work before at least 65.

However, after 50, BLM is now worse than DRG in terms of invites. WHM is the last option if you're looking for a healer, everyone wants RDMs for EXP chain 600+. PLDs will sometimes sub WHM to get invited and be cure whores, and still no one invites them. They're useless for TP burn parties just like BLMs. It's pretty much a noob party on steroids, hate is loose and you just CTRL+A and spam weaponskills with no regard to hate or anything else. That's why when I was in a CoP mission party a few days ago the PLD had no idea what magic burst or ancient magic were. I think he has 2 jobs at 75 and rank 10. I wouldn't be surprised is he didn't know what skillchain was at all.

It's all about BRD BRD RDM MNK MNK MNK now, last monk can be replaced by a WAR but that's it. They all but RDM sub NIN of course -- at least so far RDMs don't -- . Even ninjas would sub ninja if they could.

Yeah FFXI sucks nowadays. The LS leaders are a bunch of assholes who look at you like your a piece of shit. The economy sucks and like you said the people are idiots.

a tank can't possibly be a NIN, NIN are supposed to be in the shadow, always in the back of the enemy, never seen by anyone... and now he is used as a tank! tanks are PLD, perhaps war, but no NIN dammit! it's like WHM are used as DD.

SAM are blind and are as good with a katana than a pig with a chainsaw.
PLD 's HP are like ice in the sun, decreasing at light speed.
BST are allergic to animals, always fleeing before any rabbit they see if their zoophiliac love isn't returned back for the next 2 damn short minutes.
WHM are like nurses with band aid right before an accident between a school bus and a plane.
DRG can't possibly take that name! they have a care bear with wings, that's all!
and i'll pass on the other.

without mentioning you have to be 6 before leaving a town or else you'll know an humiliating death, killed by a rabbit or a sheep.
waiting during 6hours to perhaps have a party where you won't die 5 time because of a sleepy WHM, a PLD that is afraid of voking, a THF that came back with 3 soldier crawler...
