Is it worth buying? I had quite the hard on for the first game, but I'm somewhat hesitant of this one. I heard there was slow down unless one had a newer model computer.

Just like the first one.. it takes a bit to get rolling.. and just before you get sick of all the fighting, they change the feel of the game so you have a break from big battles.

performance improved quite a bit with patches .. it was indeed shitty just after release.
should be ok now - or just steal it to test, then buy.
