Why do they do that when there DVD drives are common place? 1 DVD installs faster then 4-6 CDs, they weigh less too, and take up the same amount of material! Help me understand?

I've thought that about PS2 games that come on 2 CD's. Why the fuck not just use 1 DVD?!
