Game is responsible for causing stagnation. After it was released, everyone was popping a boner over shitty ps1 3D and cg movies. Except they were not Squaresoft and could not replicate ff7 so they were mostly doomed to failure. So we had all these half-assed shitty 3D games which shouldn't have been 3D.
FF7 also almost single handedly killed the sega saturn, dreamcast, n64 and cube. FF7 killed every franchise on these systems except for like the big nintendo franchises (like zelda, mario, kirby, mario kart, etc).
FF7 also killed nearly tons of franchises on ps1 as well.
FF7 also killed PC rpgs such as baldurs gate, fallout, planescape and the companies behind them. Because people were ignoring them while being faggots because they were spooging over animu cause they were bullshitted into thinking it was "new and exciting" when it really wasn't.
Because people were only buying shitty Square games. Was it worth it? Was it really worth it?
FF7 was a shitty game back then, and is still shit now. The only people who would like this shit must be idiotic wapanese.
The game is shit, the story is shit. Japanese RPGs suck a ducks dick. They have shitty stories about characters no one gives two cents worth of shit about and they're all like this.
