I'm sick of seeing faggots who always said otherwise.
It was a piece of shit when it came out and it's still a piece of shit now.
You know why?
A 12 hour prologue while the game plays itself for you.
And every time you get into a random encounter, it takes 10 seconds to gain access to the combat menu, just so you can select "RUN" because you didn't want to get into a fight in the first place.
Then 5 seconds to gain control over your character again on the field map.
I quit at 30 hours into the game out of disappointment.
30 hours minus 12 hour prologue of the game playing itself for you is 18 hours.
And since 1/4th of the time ingame is spent loading.
My total time playing was roughly around 13 and a half hours before I quit.
That means out of those 30 hours playtime before the breaking point of giving up, I had to sit through 16 and a half hours of a shitty game.
Good job japan, maybe next time you can make a quality game, here's a hint, make something 2D.
