Hear me out, once RF technology gets good enough that you can easily transmit highdef digital video from a comp to a TV there will be no more need of consoles. Once people can play PC games on a TV without moving a bulky PC tower around nobody is going to need consoles anymore. PC's are so much more versatile, and for the same price as a console any half-brained person could upgrade a PC to at least the same capabilities.

it's probably easier to develop for consoles rather than computers as consoles are standardized and the hardware is well understood. there are very many configurations available for computers and therefore, the developers have to put more work into supporting the many configurations that exist.

Not to mention having to work with Windows... And being able to sell to a much larger market (we all know console games out-sell PC games with very few exceptions). Lets face it until its more profitable to sell on a PC platform, it will never replace consoles.
