MUDs

Who here still plays MUDs?

This thread comes up every few months, I suspect it's the same poster.

I play http://btmux.com/ (sci-fi mechas FTW). I hate fantasy settings and role-playing.

I used to play MUME (Multi Users in Middle Earth), but it is pretty dead now with only 20-60 players constantly online. The best thing about it is the balance between RP and PvP - if you want to roleplay, you can pick flowers and hop along merrily with deers in Shire and Grey Havens, but others can go PK stuff around Rivendell, Misty Mountains and Moria.

I play avalon. It's been going since '96. It's good to go back to basics once in a while.
