Anyone else still looking for a Wii? I'm getting really pissed with Nintendo's horrible supply chain. I've been looking for a Wii since the day it came out. I don't have the time to wait in a pre-store opening line, I can't afford a 600 dollar bundle (I'm looking at you, Gamestop, Wal-Mart) and I can't use Ebay. Is there any hope of a guy like me getting a Wii (JUST a wii, no bundle bullshit) before summer, or, Miyamoto forbid, Fall?
Anyone working anywhere have any insight on stores that might be hording consoles for a sale, or stores that will be advertising Wii's in tomorrow's newspapers?
What the fuck, you are "dying" but you "don't have the time to wait in a pre-store opening line"? It only requires waking up 3 or 4 hours earlier than usual, which shouldn't be a problem if you really want it. If you aren't willing to do that, then you aren't getting one because there are plenty of people who want it more than you who are going to get it first.

I've got a full time job and school. Maybe when they had the midnight launch I could simply have shortened how much I got to sleep that night, but with stores opening at 9-10 with stock of the wii, I can't go (I've got work). So while it's easy to call me a lazy bastard, there really is nothing I can do asfar as "Waking up 3-4 hours early" if I have to be in at work when the stores open.
Anyone? A real solution? (other than quitting my job)
After the zip= put your zip code. It's a search of all the local target stores, if it has a wii it will be in green. Just make sure you call before you go to make sure they actually do have it. You could also try this site, but I never used it: http://www.itrackr.com/
Another way to do it is to just call a bunch of stores often, always asking if they have it in, and if they don't, ask them if they know when they're getting their next shipment in. On that day, call them whenever you get the chance to see if they still have any in stock. You might get lucky. I didn't have to camp out in front of target, it was 11:00am or so when I got there and they still had 4 left.

Should've waited in those long lines, on release date. I lack a life, so I waited several hours, Nov 19th to get mine. :D

I've officially called every store in the area, and noone has any Wii's, nor do they know when to expect more. I hate it when you are perfectly willing to spend hard earned money on something, but by bastardly poor production you are unable.
The real irony is that I can't afford a PS3 but they are all over the place (You can find multiple PS3's in every store around town) So I want what I can't afford, and I can't get what I can afford. It's a really shitty day to be working-class.

The big stores are probably still holding shipments until they have enough to put them in their circulars, like they did when I got mine in late January. Basically, if a store has it in their circular (from the Sunday paper, which I usually get on Thursday) then by law they need to have a certain number in stock that week. If you spot it in the paper then go very early on Sunday, around 6am, and wait in line.

I went so far as to ask if they were hording consoles for a sale and in every instance the answer was "No, we are selling them as we get them" (Which seems like bull to me, but whatever). And I get the Sunday paper on Sunday at around 7am, so by the time I've gotten it, seen which stores had them in their ads, and gone to camp out, there is a line a mile long.
