Good MMORPG?

Name: ee™ 2007-03-05 21:34 ID:LKR8cIO8

What are some good MMORPGs? I've seen a lot, and played a lot. Most of 'em I played sucked, so now I'm looking for something new.

What I've tried:
- Ragnarok Online
- Guild Wars
- City of Heroes
- Maplestory(WTF??<S>JFD!)
- Runescape(LOLWORSTRPGEVER)
- ???

So, yeah. Any suggestions?

I like Phantasy star online blue burst, though its not a true mmorpg.  It can be played free on a private server.  Its pretty casual, could be described as diablo in space.  Hordes of enemies come at you, you kill them with attack combos with various weapons or spells.  Its real time and you directly control your characters' attacks, so you'll want a game controller to play this.  More fun if you can get/make some friends to play with you.  Popular activities include leveling up, hunting rares, and doing quests for either of the former.  You'll either love it or hate it.

I've also heard that World of Warcraft is playable on free servers, but it's very buggy and broken yet.

Go kill yourself.

But, anyway, I might just go back to playing Guitar Hero 2, and my Wii. might even buy a guitar.

Do we seriously need to go there?

Alright. MMORPGs are just a way to sell games which wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of selling if they were not Online or Multiplayer. And if they did not contain some company name, franchise name or popular theme backing it.

People get addicted to mmorpgs because mmos exploit a primal human need. MMORPGs provide a work simulator with guaranteed advancement. Most people who still play mmorpgs, or who get addicted to mmorpgs are too stupid to see this. That's why they're still playing them or are still interested in them.

Don't change these.
