Worst generation ever?

This current generation of video gaming has yet to generate a want for myself to buy a system. Either the system itself is too expensive (and one in particular charging for online play) or they make up the difference with expensive controllers (you can take a wild guess on this one). Most of the companies I've known and loved have gone far downhill, especially Rare (hey, let's take hits from the N64 era and drop titanic deuces on them!), Sega (lol 4Kids), and Ubisoft (undisputed king of shoddy ports).

Time to skip this generation and see if I can't get those time cheats from Perfect Dark.

So... you just point out everything bad, and pretend everything good doesn't exist? How about good games, like Gears of War, or Oblivion (I wouldn't consider getting the PC version, because the required upgrades to my PC to run it would cost more than another 360)?

Oblivion does attract me, but my PC is already well-equipped for that. I'll probably wait until the DX10 video card setup come down in price after a couple of years before making my next PC purchase.

Gears of War is something I'd rant about but this ain't the place.

the play station 2 is the f*cking greatest thing ever made.  Next is PC, even though i hate it becuae of the weekly requirement to upgrade your hardware...  and than i guess ps1 and n64!  AHHA

Ugh. Gears epitomizes everything wrong with this generation. High-concept shallow bullshit covered up with purdy graphics.

That shit should stay on PC.

Bloom is alright when it isn't overdone, so it just complements all of the HDR effects instead of dominating them.
