ok the mod in /v decided to remove the entry but the stupi flood of (ï hate you man is still there)
ok some guys wanted proof that nightwolve its going to put malware in the final patch (the leaked its the beta ys100)
according to this anouncement, donators and those that helped out in the project gets to download it now. While it's incomplete, it's basically at 99.X % so it's close enough to be played. Now if only someone that has the patch leaks it out.
bit of a turnaround on my part, but what I decided to do here is leave a public list of the names & email addresses of butt pirates that in the past decided to cause static here by demonstrating their expert mad flamer skills upon learning of anti-pirating measures. I'll keep it updated if more decide to, you know, "take a stand" against teh big, bad, evil NightWolve... (It's just a duo right now, as in Dumb & Dumber.)

"You're telling me one can afford a $100 game, but then turn stingy for $5 or so assuming they know I exist and are eagerly awaiting a patch that'll make the game they bought English?"
Thanks for putting words in my mouth. No, I didn't say anything of the like. Lots of people can afford a 100 dollar game, and you do deserve reparation for your work, even though it wouldn't have been possible without Falcom's game, to begin with, you and lots of others still put lots of time and effort into it. That's why I'd hate to see it tainted with malicious software because of some personal vendetta you have against piracy.
"So, you wanna get exact details cause you have a pirated copy??"
Wow. Yet another assumption.
No, I don't care for exact details, because I do not own a pirated NOR legitimate copy, it's just a game I've been interested in for a while... until I saw that you said you'd be including viruses or whatever into it. Imbedding malicious software into ANYTHING for ANY reason, or even coding it in the first place is just plain ****ed up. Case closed. If you think that it's moral in any way, you're no better than the "warez kiddies" you mock.

Apparently he couldn't really think of a response to this, so he deleted it and promptly banned my IP. Check his forum at nick.serveblog.net for the previous messages if you're interested, you'll see I took nothing out of context and that he really is just a cynical, self absorbed ******* as someone before me stated.

"I think I know them well enough to make an educated guess like that. Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I've been at this for a long long time."
Making an "educated guess" like that is nothing but presumptuous and arrogant. I doubt I need to say more, all you need to do is look up the definitions of those two words if you're still unsure.

"Well, if you have a legititmate copy, there's nothing to worry about. What did you not understand about this all being related to a torrent? Hint: That's related to pirating. You wanna portray yourself as what here, against pirating the game, but also against some anti-pirating measure? Quit wasting my time, please."
Yes, there IS something to worry about when you say that you're including malicious software into it for WHATEVER REASON, or even coding it to begin with. I don't think I need to reiterate that, though.
"On the off chance he has an original copy, he's still been advancing the pro-pirating position in everything he has said and done."
I am not advancing any position besides my own opinion that coders of malicious software should be banned from the internet in its entirety. That's of course not possible, though.
You've put a lot of words in my mouth and made quite a few assumptions, but all I wish to say is this:
Computer viruses and other sorts of malicious software are just plain ****ED UP, and so are the ones who create them. Yes, I'd go so far as to say it's worse than piracy, as well. No, I do not condone piracy, before you try and flame me for that, either. YOU are making a ***** attempt at being manipulative and making me out to be pro-piracy. All I am is anti-malware. Apparently, you're not. I think I'll be playing through the game in Japanese, if I do buy it. Sorry to all of you who donated if your computer gets ****ed up.
Footnote: I doubt he has the coding ability to pull it off anyways. Yeah, like the Ys game is going to tell you that it was downloaded from a Torrent.
If people don't get paid for fansubs what makes him think he should get paid for patches?

This guy believes he's doing something so well that demands he get paid for his trouble. He claims that people who otherwise would have nothing to do with him and his translation for a game he has no legal connection to are causing him financial drain, and therefore he should be compensated for doing something that thousands of other guys/teams have done (and must do) for free over the past decade.
The very fact that he is gaining funds SPECIFICALLY over a registered product, and not just appreciative, voluntary donations for his hard work, is illegal.
There's a reason why community mods of games cannot be sold (but have a paypal for people who support the work), and the owner of the Intellectual Property can even shut down a project that was going to be free anyway, but also a reason why such mods can be sold (example: King's Quest 9 was a free ground-up game shut down by Vivendi, though later a deal is struck and "The Silver Lining" is becoming a full-fledged game), that is, legal collaboration with the original creator/owner of the product the offshoot is drawn from.
This douche's position is nothing like a retail outlet, he is not entitled to any money, no matter how "professional" he claims his translation is. He's basically the guy outside with the shopping cart, selling chinese subtitled versions of the product at a fraction of the price.
"no you dumbass, he isn't selling the game" is a groundless counter-argument. Without the game, his translation is worthless. With the game, his translation is still worthless. If he gives the translation out of good will, I'd donate 10 bux to his PayPal or whatever he has because that's pretty cool. But he's demanding compensation for something he is doing of his own will, with his own time; he isn't being forced into it, it isn't his JOB, he is not entitled to anything.

as i see the 3 responses in hongfire, they post their opinions not even taking their time to read the text, and the last guy was the worse "
"carn"
nobody cares about oath in Hongfire, and next of all you can call NW a hypocrite all you want but you can't even make a patch so don't bitch at other peoples work and trying to make a profit out of it , it's his choice.
Wii the Admins please delete this thread. It will most likely go non stop rant.
this guys seems that its ok to put malware and pay for translation wow , he must inmediatlely delete the rapelay game because im sure he didint buy the game or delete all his anime because im usre he didnt pay for a single episode neither to the translators fansubbers or the company HF kids are the worst kind to entablish a logical discusion
I don't know why you guys waste your time arguing over this. It's obvious "NightWolve" is an idiot when he doesn't even understand plurality in English. Why would you care about a translation patch from him when its going to be full of errors and malware that probably doesn't even exist? I mean, if he did try to make something, theres probably a 99% chance it would be an accidentally harmful payload that ruins his supporters computers.
Nightwolve hasn't said exactly what he did to it, but he claims to have loaded it full of viruses designed to target anyone who attempts to bootleg anything.
It's been speculated that his patch will fuck with your computer's registry, hiding a randomly-generated marker in it somewhere. And if it ever loses track of that marker, it'll assume you're a pirate and attack your computer.
Don't take chances. Don't have sex with people who you already know have STDs. Not even with a condom. Stay the hell away from Nightwolve and the Ys series he infects. There are plenty of other games out there that are easily worth your time.
