In Suikoden II whether or not Nanami survives depends on whether or not the player is able to gather all 108 Stars of Destiny, and if the player chooses an option fast enough during the Rokaku infiltration to deflect the arrows. In the end, Riou, Jowy and Nanami flee and spend the rest of their lives in their house, presumably with Riou and Nanami coupled. An alternate end in the middle of the game, where you're given the option of stopping fighting, has Riou and Nanami retire alone in that house and live in secrecy.
