problem with the PC version of MGS 2

I'm at the part where you have to drag Emma to strut L, however when I drag her out of the core and into the strut L connecting bridge, she falls to the ground and I end up on the bridge without Emma.

Is this a glitch, or is there something I need to do?

Maybe it was just a temporary glitch? Have you tried it more than once?

I've tried it about 15 times or so.

Copy your save file into someplace else, reinstall the game and try again.
