well, the story kinda sucks. And the character design. But its a matter of taste

Anything after 7 sucks. 8 really brought the whole series downhill.

The thing is the whole final fantasy thing hasnt really inproved the rpg genre. (Problem with most rpg games)

Underneath the grahpics and cgi movies is just the same game.
