Ok, so I've got a modded PS2, Messiah 2 chipped from wayyyy back when. A while ago, it stopped booting up games. I tried my entire collection and it will only boot a few burned PSOne games, no PS2 games. I figured this was a laser issue, so I tried some adjustment tutorials. However, their method (turn cog, test, repeat) doesn't work well for a modded PS2 since they're sketchy on booting most DVD-R's ANYWAY. It's like...I could have the right cog setting, but the PS2 might decide not to like that particular brand of DVD-R that time around, you know? There are too many possiblities to make this method a sucess.
So. Someone tell me, could I use this PS2 just for HDLoader or what? If not, is there anyplace reputable that will repair & test modded consoles? I just want to do SOMETHING with it, it's been sitting in my closet for months now.
