yep, even moreso than RPGs and adventure games which I've blindly adored since having first played the original NES Zelda... although I'll probably run out of good fighters to play, I think I've tried all the great ones ever made on all systems at this point honestly
most of the time you're simply too tired or busy with some others stuff to invest yourself into a whole new gaming world, it requires too much involvement, and if you don't have a quiet ambiance the whole thing's ruined... fighters work supremely well with pick-up and play by their arcade nature, and can be played for hours and hours on end, and the adrenaline rushes make you feel amazingly well inside and sharpen your reflexes
it's simply mad fun to try out all the heroes in a line-up and decide which's the best for you, and then beat the game on all difficulty grades, to finally unleash the best combos
yeah, there'll always be new RPG tales to experiment, but fighters fucking rule... most of the art of the 2D ones is simply gorgeous to look at too-- I'm mastering Capcom VS SNK 2 at this moment and it's simply awesome
