When I was younger and I got in trouble, I got send to my room or grounded from the TV. By the time I have kids, technology is gonna be so crazy that being sent to your room would be a good thing and kids won't even watch TV so I've been thinking of how I would discipline my kids.
So far, instead of grounding them from TV, I'd ground them from water.
any other sweet ideas?

Force them to watch TV, that is, if you really hate them and therefor can live with the subsequent brain damage and whitewashing it'll cause them.

make them analyze why they did what they did, what the reasons are that it is inappropriate, and how they can be a better person and not do it again. combine with relevant research material in the area of the transgression. possibly enforce physical disciplinary action, not pain, but more like running, or something thats constructive. my approach to discipline is more of a guiding force rather than a punishment

When I have kids of my own, if they do anything wrong I'll erase their memory cards.
When your kid has done something so bad you need to discpline him/her you have already failed at somewhere. Typical failure is that people think kids as little adults while truth is that they're pretty much empty shells who know nothing of this world.
