I have the urge to play pokemon on my pc, but when i start Pokemon Emerald on VBA it the game says that the internal battery has run dry and that clock based events wont occur.

Is there any way i can get Clock Based Events back.

I haven't used VBA in years, but have you tried enabling "Options>Emulator>Real Time Clock" ?
